Tiger's Quest

My Thoughts:

I really hate waiting for sequels! This book has been out for a couple of months and the waiting list was pretty long for it. I LOVED Tiger's Curse and was super excited to read this book, the only problem was that we were going on vacation for a week and I was number 2 on the list of holds for the book. I lucked out and got it right before we left, so I definitely had to take it with me! With a 2 hour flight each way I had plenty of time to read it and it didn't disappoint. This book starts with Kelsey, she's leaving India thinking that Ren is way to handsome for her. She heads out on the plane thinking that she's just going to go back to her foster family's house to live and work so that she can go to college. What she doesn't know is that Ren has bought her a duplex, a fancy car and enrolled her in all of her college classes. She goes through the motions of school and talking with Mr Kadam, but her heart deeply misses Ren. She decides that it's time to start dating other guys to see if she can forget Ren, but she has some really bad luck with that. It was so funny when she goes on one date and the guy makes her walk about 3 miles, when she's starving and then instead of taking her somewhere for dinner, or even feeding her at all, he takes her to the college library and borrows a movie that they watch there. So funny! Through it all her heart still belongs to Ren. I really enjoyed this book. I laughed and I cried at the end. I really didn't like the end, but what can you do? I can't wait till November to see what happens to Ren, Kelsey, Mr Kadam and Kishan!

Blurb:

Kelsey Hayes is no ordinary college freshman. In fact, the eighteen-year-old girl has just returned from India, where she risked her life—and her heart—to rescue a handsome Indian prince from a terrible curse. Back home in Oregon, Kelsey is determined to move on, despite the lingering feelings she has for the man she left behind. She meets Li, a completely average guy who offers the promise of an ordinary, curse-free life. But just when Kelsey is ready to move on, Ren reenters her life, on a quest to reclaim her heart. Danger threatens their newly rekindled love and to save him, Kelsey must journey with someone else—a man who wants her for himself. The saga begun in Tiger’s Curse continues in Tiger’s Quest, as Kelsey finds herself in an epic battle between good and evil. From the shores of the Pacific Northwest to the jungles of India, the mountains of Nepal and Tibet, and the mystical realm of Shangri-la, this suspenseful tale of love, sacrifice, and redemption is not to be missed
