The Final Summit

final summit

I have yet to read The Traveler’s Gift. This book reminded me of a great movie called National Treasure — full of history, adventure, and inspiration. A man named David Ponder achieves status as head of the summit and is assisted by many historical figures to uncover the solution. The historical figures include Joan of Arc, Abe Lincoln, Churchill, and Anne Frank. They are asked to come up with a solution that will save humanity. Together they come up with five possible solutions: Restore hope, seek wisdom, show courage, exhibit self-discipline, and build character. Eventually, they come up with the correct solution (two words: “Do Something”). Whatever you perceive that to mean will influence your opinion of the book.
