American Tapestries Series

~ Launch Party & Giveaway ~ With Every Letter ~

Summerside Press has done it again! They have been able to create yet an other AMAZING Series with AMAZING authors. Just like the Love Finds You Series  Summerside Press has created the American Tapestries Series which is going to be all about ICONIC MOMENTS IN AMERICAN HISTORY. Things like the Titanic, and Oregon Trail, which

are just the first two int he series. I have been lucky enough to read both of these books.

I wanted to talk to you about Queen of the Waves By Janice Thompson

When pampered Jacqueline Abington makes secret plans to elope with the family gardener, she concocts a scheme for another woman to take her place on the much-anticipated maiden voyage of the Titanic. From a poor corner of London, Tessa Bowen has been granted the opportunity of a lifetime—a ticket to sail to America aboard a famed vessel. But there’s a catch: she must assume another woman’s identity. For the first time in her life, Tessa stays in expensive quarters, dresses in luxurious gowns, and dines with prestigious people. Then a wealthy young American man takes an interest in her, and Tessa must struggle to keep up the ruse even as she finds herself falling for him. When tragedy strikes, the game is up, and Tessa’s life is forever changed.

I have yet to read any of the books in the Love Finds You Series.  This is also the first Janice Thompson book I have read. Which for me I found odd, since I have a few of her books on my TBR.

Now lets talk about  Queen of the Waves. I am glad I read this book, I really enjoined the story line. Even thought I read this book months ago I still remember the story line. So that is a good thing! I like the fact that the author talks about how she got a ticket for someone who was on the Titanic, and she was able to follow that persons journey in on of the Titanic Museums, as she did research for this book. This book gives an other out look to why and how people came on board the Titanic. I can not say that this is a must read book, but if you LOVE the Titanic then YES this is a MUST READ. Other wise if your just looking for a quick enjoyable book then I would totally say pick this book up and give it a page turn or two. Thank you to Litfuse for allowing me to join this American Tapestry Book Tour. This new Series is going to be a great way to learn a little more about history, even if it is Fictional. All opinions are my own.
